Mission Statement

With technical resources world-wide, Samson Motorworks is poised to advance a series of new technology breakthroughs. Current activities focus on transportation, including aviation technology. Through our on-going efforts, we are developing more useful, efficient, and less costly alternatives to modern transportation.

Using the latest technologies, materials and innovative designs, Samson Motorworks will introduce ground-air vehicles, three-wheeled road vehicles, as well as hybrid and electric versions of both types. All of these vehicles are designed to deliver affordable driving excitement with a minimal environmental footprint.

Our goal is to become the fastest growing transportation company in the world. Given the current and foreseeable economic situation, our emphasis on smaller, lighter, greener and more affordable vehicles is a winning approach.

Samson’s flagship product is the Switchblade™, a multi-mode vehicle that both drives and flies. Our follow-on products will include ground-only, look-alike versions of the Switchblade™, hybrid and electric versions of both vehicles, and an exclusive offering for Amex Black Card holders. Gas powered versions will deliver up to 60 mpg with sports car-like performance. Hybrid and electric vehicles should easily deliver between 70 and 80 mpg.

Through cost effective management of resources, we are advancing at a rapid rate with minimal outside investment. Our consulting team includes many of the leading scientists and engineers in their respective fields. Outstanding results have garnered international attention, including publication and coverage in Scientific American, Discovery Channel Canada, and many others.

The future begins tomorrow, and that future is what one creates. This is true for an individual, a business, and a society. With the continued expansion of modern lifestyles around the globe, we must include a reduction of environmental footprint to maintain or increase the quality of life on our planet. By increasing the use of point-to-point transportation, we can accomplish an increase in transportation speed, a reduction in required infrastructure, a lessening of time in transit, and a reduction in fuel consumption compared to existing transportation models. Samson Motorworks is positioned to become the leader in the point-to-point transportation market, which will soon become the status quo in 21st century travel.

Our Team
		Sam Bousfield, CEO A fourth generation native of Nevada City, California, Mr. Bousfield earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 1979. Post-graduates studies include marketing and business management. Due to an interest in aviation, Mr. Bousfield became involved with a core group of Boeing engineers who utilized his conceptual ideas to advance aeronautical research. This relationship developed into several international scientific papers presented to the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the Swedish government utilizing one of the resultant designs to re-calibrate their wind tunnel through Mach 1. An inventor with multiple patents and patents pending, Mr. Bousfield provides the vision for the Samson Motorworks line of vehicles.
		Leland Thoburn, CFO and Vice President, Business Operation Mr. Thoburn comes to The Company after an eleven year career at EarthLink, where he held positions of CFO (pre-IPO); Legal Director; Vice President, Business Development; Vice President, Special Projects; and Vice President, Strategic Relations. Prior to EarthLink, Mr. Thoburn spent 12 years in the Venture Capital industry, both as a principal of Cambridge Partners, and as a consultant to seed capital and angel investors across many industries. Mr. Thoburn brings many years experience in start up growth strategies and risk management, as well as financial and legal expertise to help manage the business needs of the Company.
		Don Campbell, Vice President Public Relations Having been born in Renton, Washington, the former home of The Boeing Company, Mr. Campbell has had an interest in aviation throughout his life. Campbell received a BS degree in Education at California State University, Hayward, and started his career teaching science and math. He introduced aerodynamics into his high school curriculum, and this led to his learning to fly, and ultimately to his profession as a Certified Flight Instructor. Campbell took a three-year hiatus from flight instruction to pilot commuter aircraft in the mid 1990′s, but then returned to become a Gold Seal Flight Instructor, which he enjoys to this day. His 30 year involvement in aviation along with his interpersonal skills makes Mr. Campbell an asset to the corporate team at Samson Motors Inc.
		Willem Anemaat/DAR Corp, Lead Engineering Consultant. Mr. Anemaat is a principal of DAR Corp, whose engineering staff were tapped for design work on the Piaggio Avanti three-surface business turboprop and the Milner AirCar, a four-wheel flying car concept. With engineering staff also having experience in race car design, DAR Corp has been chosen as the lead engineer for development of the combined air/ground Switchblade vehicle line.
